Approach to Therapy
In therapy, a partnership is formed between the client and the therapist. The client’s role is to have the willingness to look at life’s challenges and the courage to implement better ways. The therapist’s role is to create a safe environment, assist the client’s exploration of life (emotions, relationship difficulties, personal concerns, parenting worries, etc.), and to foster growth and change.
Our therapeutic approach to therapy is from the HEART (Humor, Enthusiasm, Appreciation, Respect, and Trust) for body, mind, and spirit.
“I’ve never felt more safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. Shirls gave me gifts to grow beyond pain.”
